From May 15 to May 20, OSPU became a member of the International Forum of Russian Language Teachers at Almaty Management University of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The forum was attended by teachers from Kazakhstan, Russia, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Ireland. Omsk State Pedagogical University at the forum was presented by Kseniia Artemieva, senior laboratory assistant of the Department of Russian Language and Linguodidactics of Omsk State Pedagogical University.
"The forum was useful first of all for all those who love language, culture and literature and who like to construct from all this diversity wonderful lessons for their pupils, students. There was an atmosphere of warmth, cosiness and friendship at the Forum. Especially memorable were the master-classes on the use of linguistic psychodramaturgy technique in individual and group lessons of Russian as a foreign language. The forum harmoniously combined theory and practice, private teaching and teaching in state institutions, innovation and tradition. The questions of work with different age audiences were discussed, and here we would like to single out the direction related to teaching Russian as a foreign language to children (preschoolers). I would like to say a big thank you to the organisers of the forum and Almaty Management University," said Kseniia Artemieva.
Part of Kseniia Artemieva's presentation was a comparative analysis of two cultural phenomena - aytys (an improvised song competition between akyns) and rap battle. In her presentation, Ksenia demonstrated that the difference between similar cultural phenomena is based on their commonality, and definitely cannot become a cause of communicative conflict. At the end of the presentations, the forum participants actively discussed similar topics, which can serve as a starting point for writing school research papers.
The event was held as part of the federal project "Russia - an attractive country for study and work", which aims to improve the quality of migration inflow, increase interest in the Russian language and the Russian education system, simplify access to state services in the field of migration, and improve the perception of Russia in the world as a country convenient for study and work.
The co-operation with the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education and science is a priority for Omsk State Pedagogical University. At the moment, active work is being carried out in various directions, including the development and implementation of joint activities, professional development programmes for school teachers and education workers.
