A delegation from Xi'an FanYi University visited OSPU to discuss cooperation between the universities in higher professional education and scientific research.
The delegation consisted of Rector, Professor and Executive Chairman Cui Zhilin, Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs Guo Wei, Head of the International Cooperation Office Wang Mingming, and Translator Gao Rong.
Omsk State Pedagogical University was represented by: Rector Natalia Makarova, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Irina Gerashchenko, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Svetlana Poluikova, Dean of the Faculty of Philology Natalia Fediaeva, Head of the Department of Oriental Languages Natalia Tebenkova, Professor Tatiana Ioffe and Head of the International Cooperation Office Liudmila Bevziuk.
In order to immerse in the Russian cultural and educational environment, the delegation had guided tours of the historical part of the city. In the auditorium of the V. M. Samosudov Technopark of Universal Pedagogical Competencies, the guests attended the presentation, where they learned about Omsk State Pedagogical University and the activities of the Department of Oriental Languages. To greet honored guests, students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages recite famous poems in Chinese. The Chinese counterparts presented Xi'an FanYi University's academic programs and highlighted an exchange program opportunity for OSPU students.
The most official part of the visit was the negotiations focused on the development and implementation of a dual degree educational program.
The cooperation agreement between the universities has been in force since 2021. During this period, more than 40 Omsk and 95 Chinese students have completed training as part of academic mobility, language internships, summer camps and online courses.
