10 students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages and the Faculty of Economics, Management, Service and Tourism, as well as the head of the group Polina Zhuravleva had arrived at Xi'an FanYi University for two weeks to learn the Chinese language, culture and traditions.
On the first day, the opening ceremony of the Summer Camp for studying Chinese took place. Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs Guo Wei, OSPU representative Polina Zhuravleva, Head of the International Cooperation Office Wang Mingming, responsible staff and all students participating in the program attended the event.
Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs Guo Wei warmly welcomed us on behalf of Xi'an FanYi University. He said that the University delegation had recently visited Omsk State Pedagogical University, shared his impressions of the productive negotiations and expressed hopes for further partnership between the Universities. Since the cooperation agreement came into force, the parties have achieved significant success. Guo Wei shared his wishes that the Summer Camp participants would get to know China's unique culture, maintain enthusiasm for learning the language, and contribute to strengthening the friendship between China and Russia.
He spoke about Xi'an FanYi University, its proficient teaching staff, ever-growing level of training and wide range of disciplines covering many areas. The University occupies an important position in China's private education sector and maintains an open policy, actively developing international relations.
Polina Zhuravleva thanked Xi'an FanYi University for organizing the camp, noting that students are lucky to study in Xi'an, the cultural center of China. The camp will be a great opportunity to improve language skills and gain a better understanding of Chinese culture, which will help students in their future studies and work. She expressed hope for further strengthening of partnership between universities.
Zhao Jinhui, a professor at Xi'an FanYi University, said the camp's program includes intensive Chinese courses, sightseeing tours, calligraphy classes, tai chi, tea ceremonies and master classes. He encouraged students to value the opportunity to improve their language, make friends and experience memorable moments.
